Office Protocol and COVID-19

Note: The following is a message to our existing clients.  Initial consultations with new clients will be available by telephone only until further notice.  If you are a potential new client, you can schedule a free telephone consultation by clicking HERE.

Valued Clients:

I’m sure you’re aware of the attention being paid to social distancing and combating the spread of COVID-19. Last week, the Idaho Supreme Court ordered that all non-essential hearings be rescheduled through April 10.  Many of our clients were affected by this move, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the order was renewed to further delay most court proceedings.

We are committed to pressing forward to advance your legal issue to the greatest degree possible irrespective of current events.  However, we also want to protect the health of our clients and staff and do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19 in the area.  In order to accomplish both objectives, we have made the following short-term changes to our office protocol:

Attorneys Will Be Working From Home

To facilitate social distancing, our attorneys will be working from home as much as possible until further notice.  We will also be attempting to communicate with you as much as possible through telephone and email rather than in-person meetings.  If you have an issue arise that you’d like to discuss, you’re always welcome to:

  1. Send whichever one(s) of us you’re working with an email;
  2. Call the office and ask for one of us; if we’re available, the call can still be transferred to our extensions and we can answer from home.
  3. Call the office and schedule a call-back at a particular time.  You can also schedule a callback on your own here:

Lobby Access By Appointment Only

To protect our clients and staff by limiting the volume of foot traffic into and out of the lobby, our lobby will be accessible by appointment only. If you need to deliver documents to us and have the ability to scan them in and email them, please do so.

If you are unable to scan and send your documents, need to drop off a payment, pick up something we have for you to pick up, or anything else that might require an in-person visit, please call in or CLICK HERE to schedule a time to stop by.

Our goal is to ensure we can provide the most optimal legal services while also avoiding further spread of COVID-19.  Exposure in the office would not only worsen a health crisis, as a practical matter it would also make it harder for us to serve you if the entire law firm were forced to quarantine at the same time.  These steps help us maintain distance and ensure we have the staff available to meet your needs. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
